Recently, the Science and Technology Bureau of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou officially announced the 2025 second batch "5213" Project support list for innovation and entrepreneurship teams. Our company's project, "Development of High-Yield DHA/EPA Schizochytrium Strains and Fully Enzymatic Omega-3 Green Extraction Technology with Industrialization," has been successfully selected, demonstrating that the company's innovative capabilities in the field of synthetic biomanufacturing have received high-level governmental recognition.
The "5213" Plan is a flagship innovation and entrepreneurship support policy established by Xiaoshan District, designed to attract and cultivate high-level talent teams and technology-driven projects, thereby promoting regional industrial upgrading. The selection process underwent rigorous stages including project solicitation, local review, expert evaluation, and departmental deliberation, ultimately leading to 51 projects being selected for support from numerous high-quality applicants. Our company's project stood out due to its technological leadership, industrial transformation potential, and eco-friendly value, and will receive comprehensive support including policy funding, site assistance, and talent security.
Upon implementation, the project will fill the domestic gap in the large-scale production of high-purity algal-derived Omega-3, which will be widely applied in infant formula, dietary supplements, and functional foods.
General Manager Xin Tan stated, 'This selection represents the Xiaoshan District government's recognition of our team's technological innovation capabilities and industrial deployment. We will accelerate project development and mass production to provide safer and more efficient Omega-3 solutions for the health food industry, while contributing to the high-quality development of Xiaoshan's bioeconomy.
